My teaching experience has been developed over the past 10 years, firstly as a volunteer and now as a certified professional.

I am a qualified Japanese teacher certified to teach Japanese as a foreign language. My experiences include teaching at schools in Australia and the UK, to students ranging from 4 to 60 years old.
I grew up in Japan and spend 11 years in Tokyo from my university days. Previously, I used to work for a financial institution and a management consulting firm.
Content - Each lesson is designed according to your purpose/goal. Therefore, an interview session will be set before the first lesson. All lessons are also offered on-line through Skype as an alternative.
Material - Every course is be customized to you. You will study with original materials prepared just for you (Click here to see samples), and it is not necessary to buy a textbook. However, I recommend reading the "Japanese for Busy People" series for beginners to learn basic grammar.
Methodology - The course will be conducted in Japanese as much as possible, but of course English explanations will be provided where needed. To make the most of the lesson time, I focus on "speaking" in practical Japanese conversational situations, such as "introductions", "at a restaurant", "shopping", "asking directions", "making a phone call", "at the office", or "at the station."
