À propos de Maria
I've already taught informally before, so the idea of teaching a language isn't entirely new to me. I work in a pretty relaxed and conversational way, encouraging my students to keep trying and be okay with making mistakes.
I think having learnt French as a foreign language myself, I can understand the struggles students may have when they don't get something right, don't understand a conjugation or mispronounce the same word over and over again. My experience learning languages helps me simplify my classes and explanations to create as little confusion as possible.
I'm not a professional teacher, but I do like learning and adapting to people's needs so they're comfortable. That's why I always ask my students what they want to reach before we start and then I tailor the class to them.

My learning approach really depends on the student's level and goal. If they want to become fluent, we'll practice oral exercises and conversations, correcting them as they go. If they want to improve their writing, we'll practice writing sentences from scratch so they make sense and we'll work towards more complex ones each time.
I'm a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English, and have a B2 level in French. Therefore, for Spanish and English I work with both beginners and intermediate students, but for French solely with beginners.
My main focus as a tutor is making sure my student reaches their goal and improves in exactly what they wanted. I'll tailor our sessions to them instead of giving the same material to each student.
