Hi! My name is Anya, and I'm a US-born native English speaker with a TEFL certification. I have been teaching people of all ages across a range of subjects for more than 8 years. In terms of teaching style, I'm quite laid back and easy-going, but still very detail-oriented. I have a high level of knowledge when it comes to English grammar and composition, but if that's not your thing, that's fine! Whether you're hoping to focus on the nitty-gritty rules and structure, or instead get good at casual, spoken English, I'm happy to accommodate your needs and goals.

I like to teach in a casual yet intentional way. Having conversations, listening to music, watching videos, translating sentences, or occasionally going more in depth into a grammar explanation—these are all things I like to do with students to get them more immersed into a language. That said, the approach depends more on you, how you best learn, and what your priorities are.
