My name is Noel Swords. I'm Irish and I'm a native speaker of the English language. I have 22 years' experience teaching English in Ireland, Poland, and Brazil. I have over one hundred written recommendations from past students. I don't only correct mistakes and give feedback. I teach my students skills. The more skills you have, the more control you have over your studies, and this maintains your motivation and interest.

Reading
We read at the beginning of every lesson, and then we analyse the text for common expressions: collocations, phrasal verbs, phrases, etc. The objective is to help the student notice a little more every time he or she reads.
Speaking
As the student speaks, I correct all mistakes: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, etc. I type the mistakes on screen, and the student revises this information after the lesson. But correcting mistakes and giving feedback is not enough. I also teach my students skills. The more skills you learn, the more independent you become as a learner, the more control you have over your learning, and the less you need me.
My Method
I use the modern communicative approach, meaning that English is taught and learnt by means of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and revising. I teach spoken English. I focus on intensive conversation practice. I don’t teach business English, legal English, or exam lessons. I don’t teach older methods: audio-lingual, grammar-translation.

Précisions
Your First Free Lesson
Your first free lesson is in fact a free online consultation in which I explain my service and answer your questions. It can last between fifteen and thirty minutes, depending on the number of questions asked. I charge €12 per lesson.
My Working hours
Monday to Saturday: 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm. Monday to Thursday: 7 pm, 8 pm. I’m Irish. I’m from Ireland but I live in Italy. Now you can use the internet to check the time difference between Italy and the country where you live, and then you can try to find a time for your lessons that works with my working hours.
