À propos de Steven
Hi! I'm a Cambridge language graduate with experience teaching English in France to students of all ages (from 5 to 75!) at Université Paris Diderot and two schools in Toulon. I have taught students with a range of abilities, from beginners to those who already have an advanced level of English, and I am very used to tailoring my classes to fit the needs of each individual student - we can find the right balance for you!
About me...
I am an avid reader and cinephile - it doesn't matter what the genre, culture, language or time period is, I love discovering new books and new films. I also love learning languages - I have studied French and Italian, and am currently teaching myself Spanish. I find language-learning is such a great way to explore new cultures and ideas. Other interests include travelling (I love going to new places and visiting museums), discovering new cuisines, and watching and playing sports, particularly football and badminton.

My lessons are one hour in length and are adaptable, to best suit the needs of the individual student. My experiences to date have been varied. I have helped students with oral and written expression and comprehension; taught poetry, literature and Shakespeare; and have also taught introductory phonetics to undergraduate students at Université Paris Diderot.
I can provide a range of class structures, from helping beginners get to know the language, to aiding students with exam preparation and school support, to providing in-depth conversation classes to more advanced students or those who simply want to practice their English. I can provide:
- conversation classes & vocabulary practice
- exam preparation (including entrance exams and English literature)
- school support
- tailored support (interviews, working abroad etc.)

I can't think of anybody better placed to help students with their English than Steven - not only does he have extensive experience teaching in a range of settings, from universities to high schools in France, he is also a kind and patient teacher who is willing to go the extra mile for his students.
