Bonjour! My name is Valérie, I’m Belgian, and I have been teaching French as a foreign language for 15 years. I’ve worked abroad, particularly in Holland and Poland, where I lived for the past 2 years. I am fluent in French, Dutch, and English. I am passionate about nature and love hiking and discovering new landscapes in the mountains, but I’m also a cat addict and enjoy traveling to discover new cultures, cooking. I also have a keen interest in music and concerts. I am a friendly, cheerful person who enjoys sharing great moments with others.

Dear students, welcome! My name is Valérie. I'm Belgian, and I currently live about 25 km from Brussels, in the countryside. I speak French and Dutch fluently, and a little English. I'm an organized and attentive teacher—I enjoy tailoring my lessons to my students' individual personalities, not just their language level. I'm friendly, enthusiastic, but also patient. I strongly believe in creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, as this helps students enjoy the subject and learn more effectively. I'm very attentive to my students’ efforts, and I love encouraging them. Moreover, I'd describe myself as a caring, straightforward, and somewhat strict teacher, as this ensures my students achieve their goals quickly and with greater confidence. I love teaching my native language, and I always incorporate cultural aspects, real-life situations, and insights into the Belgian way of life into my lessons. This makes the learning experience more enjoyable and relatable. I'm convinced that having fun significantly boosts learning, and it's very important to me that my classes are enjoyable. Regarding resources, I use a wide variety of materials, particularly when preparing students for DELF/DALF exams: PowerPoints, audio recordings, current affairs websites, and interactive online exercises. I always make sure the lessons are dynamic and engaging, so students never feel bored. Tu peux réserver une leçon avec moi, j'espère que tu es vraiment motivé.e en ce moment.
