À propos d'Alexandra
I am a Londoner now living in Trocadéro, Paris, balancing my time between software engineering studies at École 42 and freelance tutoring. Before making the leap into tech, I spent two years working as an aviation investment analyst, utilizing my background in physics and math. I moved to Paris to pivot my career into data and tech, and I am currently working hard on mastering French.
Because I’m right in the middle of navigating a new language and environment myself, I bring a lot of empathy and patience to the table. I love helping students work towards those rewarding light-bulb moments. Outside of my studies and work, immersing myself in a new city is my main focus. To unwind, I enjoy swimming or hiking in the countryside around Paris.

As a KCL Theoretical Physics MSc graduate and École 42 software engineering student, I provide targeted in-person tutoring for students aged 9 to 14 (CM1 to 3ème). Being a native English speaker, I offer natural immersion in the language whilst building a well-rounded foundation in Mathematics, the sciences, and basic coding.
Instead of rote memorization, I focus on helping students figure out how to organize their thoughts and solve problems independently. Drawing from my programming and math background, I teach them how to break down complex problems and heavy homework assignments into clear, logical steps. I like to use an active, step-by-step framework ("I do, we do, you do") to build real academic confidence. Having mentored this specific age bracket before, I love helping young students master tricky concepts and build long-term study habits.
To keep things focused, sessions run for 1 to 1.5 hours. A typical lesson involves reviewing recent schoolwork to clear up any confusing points, working through targeted exercises, and previewing upcoming school topics so the student stays a step ahead.
