À propos de Felix
I have worked as a private tutor for several years, prior to which I taught English to Japanese and Korean professionals through the online platform Ringle and worked as a teaching assistant in a UK school. These roles have given me experience supporting learners with a wide range of goals, from improving conversational English, to preparing for school and university exams.
Alongside teaching, I work as a writer and copy editor. I help to refine written work for clarity, style and accuracy—skills that are invaluable when supporting students with academic writing and university applications. Before this, I spent several years working in visitor engagement and education in institutions such as the British Museum and the National Portrait Gallery. This strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas in an engaging and accessible way.
The thing I have enjoyed most over the course of my teaching experience is helping students to become more confident, independent learners. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing someone develop the skills to analyse a text more closely, express their ideas more clearly, or discover a genuine enthusiasm for a subject they previously found intimidating.

I am a native English speaker and a graduate of the University of Cambridge with extensive teaching experience. I am based in Paris and offer both in-person and online lessons.
Whether you're learning English as a second language, studying English Literature, History or History of Art, preparing for exams, or writing your university application, my aim is to create lessons that are engaging, supportive and tailored to your individual goals.
I believe that the best learning happens through curiosity and conversation. Rather than relying solely on textbooks and memorisation, I adapt each lesson to your interests and preferred learning style. My aim is not only to improve your knowledge of the subject, but also to help you become a more confident reader, writer and communicator. For language learners, this means building confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing through natural communication. For school and university students, I focus on developing analytical thinking and essay writing skills, while also helping you prepare effectively for exams and coursework.
A typical lesson begins by identifying your objectives, followed by targeted activities and discussion designed to strengthen both your understanding and your confidence. After each session, I can suggest optional exercises or reading to help consolidate what we've covered.
I teach learners of all ages and levels, from adult English learners to GCSE, A-Level, IB, Baccalauréat and university students.
