My degree covers a wide range of training such as linguistics, literature and history. Furthermore, as part of my degree, I had to take a teacher training programme.
Having worked in Hong Kong as a Native English Teacher in 2016, I have the necessary experience to work with foreign students. I have prepared students for examinations. During my time there, I have helped students to prepare for their Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (the equivalent of baccalauréat in France).
I have trained students for speech competitions and speaking exams. I have worked as an English tutor at the University of Orleans where I have organised a speaking course in English.
As a teacher, I always put myself in my students’ shoes. Not only do I do my best to provide an enriching learning experience, but I also do everything I can to make my course interesting. By understanding students’ needs and goals, I am able to motivate and help my students to reach their full potential.
In addition to that, I have been living in France for 3 years now. I can speak French, and this gives me an insight into how French students learn English, why they make certain errors and what they can do to improve. I am passionate about teaching people as I hold a strong belief that teaching a language is not just about teaching grammar, it is also about sharing one’s culture.
