À propos de Tomas
To give you a little information about me I am a native English speaker from Ireland and I love to meet new people. I have a bachelor's degree in Civil Law from National University of Ireland Galway, and I also hold the Irish bar exam. I have gained a number of years experience working in various law firms in Ireland since graduating university, however I have recently moved to Paris as I am taking a career break. I am a TEFL certified English foreign language teacher and I am passionate about helping my students reach their goals. I pride myself in being a sociable and outgoing person and I would be delighted to assist you improve your English in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere!!

The lessons will be totally specialised for your own specific needs right from the get-go! No matter what your age or level of English is, elementary, intermediate, advanced or proficient...let’s work together to achieve your goals! The first FREE LESSON and prior consultation will involve carrying out a personalised diagnostics test and individual needs analysis. This diagnostics test will be a short, very informal, and relaxed written examination which will show me your knowledge of vocabulary and grammatical competencies highlighting for me areas which you might need help improving that you may have been unaware of! It will be very straightforward and won’t need any prior preparation on your side! Along with this together we will agree and outline a needs analysis for you which will take into account your goals and what we need to cover in order to work together in achieving them! The approach we take will be very flexible and we will ensure that your own PERSONAL PREFERENCES for learning are always the CORE CONSIDERATION. After the above is carried out, we can agree on a personalized syllabus for you in order to achieve your long-term goals. If the reason you are learning English is for an exam (e.g. Cambridge English, IELTS, University exam prep etc), we will focus everything we cover on this specific goal and getting a satisfactory grade. We will take into account the time you have remaining before the exam and prioritise areas which need the most attention for you if needs be also. If on the other hand you wish to learn and improve your English just for more general purposes, we will create a syllabus which is more rounded overall taking into account various areas of grammar and vocabulary which are required to converse freely and communicate more fluently! Once again, I must emphasise that the classes will be totally focused on your personal needs and expectations. If you wish, and if you think you have enough free time, I can give you homework after sessions to complete which I can correct for you before your next session which we can review then together. Furthermore in each session, I will also produce a note for you, highlighting the errors you made in the session, which will show the correct way to use the language. This will greatly aid you in learning from your mistakes and improving your level of English! Finally this may all sound very technical and formal but really to be honest it won’t feel that way at all and I think you will find that the lessons will be carried out in a really friendly, informal and enjoyable manner! They won’t feel like chore or burden and will be fun!!!
