Hello everyone! I am Brian Alexander, current master's student at Aix Marseille Université living in Aix. I am an American looking to for students of all ages who are looking to learn or perfect their proficiency in English. I am studying to become a French teacher, but I studied pedagogy and didactics in the US at California State University, Long Beach to teach foreign language in general. Please reach out to me if you are looking for a tutor, someone to practice conversation with, someone to help with exam prep, or a translator (written, not simultaneous oral translation as I have not been certified).

Hi! I’m originally from California and hold a degree in French and Francophone Literature & Culture with a concentration in Translation from California State University, Long Beach. I now live in France and am currently completing a Master’s in Teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) at Aix-Marseille University.
I offer private English lessons, fun and relaxed conversational sessions (think California vibe!), and support for exam preparation. I also provide French-to-English translation assistance.
My approach is all about building your confidence first – fluency follows naturally through practice. Together, we’ll focus on real-world communication, not just textbook exercises.
