Professeur d'Anglais à Paris 18e.
I am an American from New Orleans who has spent his life studying and learning in multiple fields. My qualifications include a Pd.D in philosophy, a master's degree in psychoanalysis, multiple fiction and academic publications, professional translation work, and more than ten years of experience teaching English in a Parisian grande école. I am available to teach students of all levels, but take special pleasure in teaching advanced students who desire to improve their mastery of the subtleties of English.

I have taught English as a foreign language in a Parisian grande école for over ten years. In that time, I have above all learned to adapt my method to the needs of the student in front of me. I believe that the best results are obtained with an old-fashioned insistence on solid grammar and vocabulary acquisition through reading. Ideally, the student will use the lesson time to ask questions and resolve problems encountered in work assigned outside of lessons. Native French speakers tend to make the same mistakes, and my years of experience have taught me the best way to identify and correct these mistakes.
