À propos de Zigi
I have been appreciating and playing all styles of music since I was four years old. Picking up more instruments as I grew up, I ended up studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Australia and have been gigging professionally for over 6 years with various projects, including Foshe, Ngaiire (RnB, dance music), Indira Elias (Cinematic Folk), Ella Haber (Indie RnB) & Rees Lucia (Indie Folk). Foshe is my primary group, a fully improvised, jazzy-house polyrhythmic synth trio. I also write and produce music and can teach this, as well as electronic music production, to anyone who may be interested. I've recently launched a new one-man band named BLAUhAUS, which is entirely improvised dance music achieved via live-looping in Ableton.

I have over 8 years of experience teaching piano, guitar, electric bass, drums, band coaching and music theory in a wide range of styles to all ages. I approach music tuition with the aim to instil a lasting appreciation of and enthusiasm for playing music, especially with kids and teens! With emphasis on improvisation and rhythmic awareness, my lessons not only prepare my students to play jazz and jazz-related genres but also teaches them to understand music more deeply than just notes on a piece of paper. A typical lesson involves a balance of technical warm-up exercises, sight-reading, improvisation and working through a tune of your choice. That said, we can work on whatever you want, I'm always happy for my students to guide the lesson.
My students love my fresh approach to teaching and parents especially appreciate my flexibility with timing and traveling to their house. I can teach all instruments online or at your location, but only piano and guitar at my location.

Parfait ! Zigy a une pédagogie adaptée aux envies de mon fils. Il a adoré ce cours où il a pris beaucoup de choses en 1h. Enfin un cours d’où il ressort enthousiaste! Le tout en anglais!
