À propos de Duncan
Key qualifications I have a BA in Politics and Modern History from the University of Manchester, an MSc in Chinese Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, a Postgraduate Diploma in Economic Principles from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and a PhD completed at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
My academic background is in political science, international relations and political economy. I have worked in both publishing and academia, this has given me a broad range of experience in academic and non-academic research, teaching, lecturing, publication and editing. In the academic field, I have been active in research, publishing and teaching, and in tutoring and supervision of thesis writing. I have also been a professional writer and editor, and have been involved in the successful publication of articles and books.
I have learned to engage with students from many different cultural and language backgrounds, and am familiar with helping non-native speakers in English language writing and presentation.

Services
I offer services in English for editing and proofreading of academic theses (Bachelors, Masters, PhD). Also, academic support for writing theses in political science, international relations, political economy.
I provide one-on-one editorial and tutoring targeting the individual student’s needs. The objective of the course will be to build the student’s competences in key areas of writing theses at Bachelor, Master or PhD level in English. This may cover the whole process from formulating research questions, understanding of key models and theories, practical research methodologies to structuring content and questions of academic expression and language.
The courses will aid students in developing their individual analytical, research and writing capacities to achieve their own outcomes. Editorial services are also available. Courses may also be based on the coursework of the student to help them build their capacities in areas of weakness.
As English is increasingly used in the internationalized university system, and is the main academic language, all courses are conducted in English to ensure the maximum exposure to the language.
