À propos de Sharifa
Let me tell you little bit about myself. I am a writer/editor/English teacher based in Antwerp, Belgium. I teach English my osmosis. Everyone I meet just feels at ease speaking and learning from me. Teaching comes naturally to me. Getting down to the nitty gritty, I have taught English to adults and children of all levels. I have also within my roster garnered a TESL certificate by which I taught English to adults in South Korea. My experience and expertise is in journalism, media, communication, and the internet. Concurrently, I am a freelance editor and proofreader working at an agency working on dissertations, books, and websites. In terms of my formal education, I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology with specialization in art and design as well as a photography/web design certificate. For a stint, I worked in the corporate sector where I gained valuable experience designing training programs, creating user-guides, doing presentations, organizing online and offsite trainings, advising clients, creating visuals, engaging in new technologies and teaching various teams the usage of various software. My interests are wide-ranging and include biking, gardening, travel, Netflix, TedTalks, YouTube. I am really excited about the new vocabulary that seems to be cropping up of late such as minimalist, hack, hactivist, social justice warrior, digital nomad, co-working... Best wishes.

My teaching style combines current methods as well as the direct method (immersion); and it is often described as coaching. In the lesson, we figure out what you want to learn, work around themes that you want to explore, and keep in mind your goals and the direction you want to go in. You can be assured that I will create quality lessons that fosters your love of learning and keeps you motivated. I am really excited about new vocabulary that seems to be cropping up of late such as minimalist, hack, hactivist, digital nomad, co-working. I look forward to meeting you.
