À propos de Daniil
I am a university lecturer and researcher at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne where I teach social sciences in English (5+ years) and conduct research in English (8+ years), working regularly with native English-speaking academics and international researchers. I have 2 PhDs in political science (Russian one and French one), more than 50 academic papers published in English, research reports in English at 25 international conferences. I would like to share my academic experience with students mainly because I am profoundly convinced that it can be extremely valuable for those who want to use English in an academic or international environment.
I learned English from scratch myself and became proficient as a non-native speaker. I studied and gave lectures in France, Germany, Denmark, and Russia. Consequently, this personal and international experience allows me to understand first-hand the difficulties, barriers and frustrations that non-native English speakers can face when learning and using the language. Moreover, my teaching experience in France has also shown me that many French and international university students need additional individual support to develop their confidence and practical English skills. Therefore, my goal is not only to teach English, but also to help students overcome the specific difficulties they encounter when studying, researching and communicating in an international academic environment.

I offer English courses with a particular focus on academic English for students, researchers, and anyone who would like to refine their academic English skills. Hence, it would be especially valuable for those who would like to study at university and start a research career.
I have extensive experience teaching social sciences in English. This experience has helped me understand the specific difficulties and barriers faced by students when studying and communicating in English: not only by French students, but also by international students from different linguistic and academic backgrounds.
My courses focus on academic writing, presentations, speaking, research-related vocabulary, professional communication, and developing the confidence needed to use English in an academic environment.
