I am an online educator with over 4 years of experience and a milestone of 2,500+ classes taught on international platforms. I specialize in crafting personalized learning experiences for a global student body from over 40 countries, with particular skill in addressing the unique challenges faced by speakers of Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, and Korean. My practical background in economic research and competitive debate ensures that I bring both academic rigor and real-world critical thinking into every lesson.
I also enjoy reading philosophical books, watching films, and writing short stories️. Some of my favorite authors are: Plato, Homer, and Kafka. I enjoy watching films from many different countries. Some of my favorite film directors are Éric Rohmer, Jean-Luc Godard, Akira Kurosawa, Wong Kar-wai, Andrei Tarkovsky, Satyajit Ray, and many others! :)

What I teach ️:

There are four main things I like to focus on in my classes: 1) spoken English, 2) vocabulary, 3) pronunciation, 4) any specific thing that you want to learn (could be listening, writing, grammar, interview/presentation practice, or anything else)
For the speaking, we will talk about myriad topics, read articles, and watch/interpretvideos. I will allow you to explain what you understood from them. That way, we can understand the language pattern quickly and become articulate. At times of any errors, I will correct you and give you feedback on how you can improve yourself. This way of learning is helpful when you have to communicate in a formal/professional setting, answer any queries, and for English language proficiency tests.
For new vocabulary: we will learn from articles and video/audio clips and highlight them. We will understand their meanings and use memorization techniques to remember them. Finally, to grasp the vocabulary in your long-term memory, we will use them in our daily conversations. And if you want, in our writing as well.
For pronunciation, if you mispronounce any words, we will 1) divide the word into different syllables and 2) learn the phonetic alphabet. This way, you can know the sounds of the language/words quicker, and it will be easier for you to recognize them in the future too!
For English language test preparations like IELTS, TOEFL, and DET, we will be practicing all 4 sections - reading, writing, speaking, and listening. We will then specialize on where you need more focus.
I love researching more on new teaching-learning methods. So if you want to suggest some of them to me, I am open to it. Also, let me know if there is anything, in particular, you want to learn, and I will personalize my teaching method for you :)
