• Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  I speak French fluently because it’s my native language — I grew up surrounded by it. However, over time, I developed a deep appreciation for its beauty and precision, which makes me love teaching it to others.

• Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  For me, Victor Hugo represents the essence of French culture — poetic, intellectual, and deeply human. His writing captures both the grandeur and the sensitivity of the French spirit.

• Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

  I love the expression “C’est la vie.” It perfectly sums up the French attitude toward life — accepting both the good and the bad with elegance and a touch of irony.

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  French is not just a language — it’s a way of thinking. Speaking it allows me to connect with people through culture, art, and philosophy. It’s a language that opens doors to understanding the world differently.

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  The biggest challenge is pronunciation and grammar, especially with silent letters and gendered nouns. But immersion — through conversation, films, and music — helps tremendously. The more you hear French, the more naturally it comes.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  When I was in school, I used to help my classmates prepare for their oral exams. Explaining grammar rules or pronunciation tips made me realize how much I enjoyed teaching — it was the first step toward becoming a tutor.

• How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  Living in London has strengthened my love for my native language. Teaching French abroad made me see it from a new perspective — I started to understand what learners find most challenging and how to make it easier and more enjoyable for them.

  I’m patient, passionate, and adaptable. I know how to make French both accessible and engaging, whether through conversation, games, or cultural references. My goal is not only to teach the language but also to share the French mindset — its humor, rhythm, and charm.
