Parfait ! Thank you so much, Elizabeth. I really appreciate your support and the way you explain everything so clearly. I’m already learning so many things I didn’t know before like the schwa and other pronunciation details. You’ve helped me understand exactly what I need to work on, and that already makes me feel more confident.
You are patient, encouraging, and very knowledgeable, and I truly enjoy our lessons. You make learning feel relaxed and enjoyable not stressful. I’m excited to keep improving my pronunciation, vocabulary, and overall communication with your guidance. I’m very grateful for your kindness and the effort you put into teaching me.
I genuinely look forward to every lesson with you.- Muna speaks really rather good English, impressive since it is her third language. She herself, however ,would like to feel a bit more confident and expand her vocabulary so that it more accurately meets her needs and aspirations. To this end we have started straight away on a longer magazine article concerning so called 'weak language' and the aim is to add extra phoneme and suprasegmental practice as the need arises. So far we have identified the goat vowel and the 5, nowadays 6, long vowels as needing care, especially the vowel in 'nurse', as also the distinction between the vowels in kit and fleece (typical of an Italian accent). Although Muna's accent is not rhotic, she does need to take care not to flap or till the 'r'. For everyday speech she needs to make greater use of contractions and the ubiquitous schwa and to be careful to divide her speech into little phrases or chunks and stress important words while hurrying more over the less important ones. I really look forward to working with her.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 14/11/2025
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an excellent teacher and a lovely person! I just finished my first class with her and already learnt a lot
- Anna has been in the UK for a while and speaks very fluently but wishes to blend in more, so in the short time at her disposal we worked on vowel sounds, particularly the long vowels and the distinction between the thought, lot and goat vowels. We also tackled the 'th' consonant sound and worked on linking, chunking and stress, using a well known female actor and RP speaker as a voice model. In the three sessions before her new job, Anna improved in leaps and bounds. She has a good ear and is so hard working!Réponse d'Elizabeth : 04/11/2025
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an excellent tutor, very glad I have found her :)
- Edita speaks very good English and is easily understood but after many years in the UK - but only as an adult- she would like to reduce her Lithuanian accent. The problem here is that the more fluent one is, the more ingrained the speech sounds become and the harder it can be to change one's habits, necessitating a fair bit of consistent effort on the part of the learner! But we are already seeing results and Edita can switch from being very rhotic and pronouncing every 'r' to being a lot less so, when she remembers! Other sounds we have worked on have been the 'goat' vowel as opposed to the 'lot 'vowel-'lot, goat and thought vowels being often quite hard for students to differentiate- and, above all, the sound, which can be achieved by spreading the tongue and placing it loosely between the teeth, or by pushing it out a little. I look forward to completing the sounds with Edita and tackling sentence stress and British intonation in a range of more interesting articles...Réponse d'Elizabeth : 22/07/2025
Parfait ! Working with Elizabeth has been a fantastic experience. She’s knowledgeable, patient, and highly effective in helping improve pronunciation and overall clarity. Her lessons are well-structured but flexible, always tailored to my specific needs. Elizabeth explains concepts clearly and offers practical exercises that deliver real results. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my speech and confidence, especially in professional settings. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to reduce their accent and speak English more naturally.
- Maddie speaks excellent English but her accent is very rhotic for someone living in England, so we have been working on suppressing the 'r' sound before a consonant or at the end of words, unless followed by a vowel-initial word, in which case we use linking 'r'. We have also concentrated on emphasising the distinction between the cup vowel and the trap vowel - uncle versus ankle- and on placing the tongue between the teeth for the 'th' sound, so that the sound produced isn't mistaken for a dental 'd'. Maddie needs to remember to round her lips more for the whistle vowel as in the word 'four' byt has an excellent ear, so she learns quickly, and her English intonation, chunking and stressing is good. Having used mini passages and doggerel so far, I look forward to tackling longer , more interesting passages with her in the future. A pleasure to work withRéponse d'Elizabeth : 18/07/2025
Parfait ! Elizabeth is truly an expert at what she does. Her sharp eye for detail and deep understanding of pronunciation make her an outstanding teacher. Even over Zoom, she was able to immediately notice when my tongue placement was slightly off and guided me to correct it, helping me pronounce the sounds accurately. The exercises she uses are incredibly effective, especially for mastering a British accent—they’re engaging, practical, and tailored to your individual needs. I would highly recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking to learn English from scratch or refine their accent. Her professionalism, precision, and warm teaching style make a real difference.
Parfait ! Elizabeth is really dedicated to teaching and was able to point out sounds that were challenging for me very quickly based on her years of experience. Highly recommended!
- Celine is a native speaker of educated Singaporean English, so she is absolutely fluent but her native dialect is syllable timed whereas British English tends to divide utterances into chunks and then stress a couple of important words in each chunk and destress others, so the rhythms of the two accents are different. We have been working on this and also the 'goat' vowel sound and when Celine returns from holiday, I plan to tackle the long vowels of British English- five of them in the past but 6 of them these days. Accents change...!Réponse d'Elizabeth : 28/04/2025
Parfait ! After 10 years of living in the UK but being stuck with a French accent, Elizabeth was able to precisely point out the sounds that made me sound not local (e.g. dark Ls)
- For an L1 French speaker, Guy has an extremely good English accent. He needs to work on lengthening the 6 long vowels of modern English, his dark 'l' at the end of words and before consonants, and eliminate rhoticity (mute the 'r' sound) in those same positions. Also needs to remember to add a little more stress and colour in order to stop speaking quite so fast!Réponse d'Elizabeth : 29/01/2025
Parfait ! I recently had the pleasure of taking two classes with Elizabeth, and I can't recommend her highly enough. As someone from Seoul with a strong Korean accent, I've always struggled with English pronunciation. Elizabeth's lessons have been a game-changer for me.
I'm starting a new job next month where I'll need to report in English 50% of the time. After just two sessions, I already feel much more confident. Elizabeth's tailored teaching methods are exactly what I needed, and I believe that continuing with her will greatly improve my skills and performance in my new role.
Elizabeth is a CELTA-qualified teacher with years of experience. Her lessons are fun and personalized, focusing on accent reduction and pronunciation. She uses a variety of engaging materials, such as videos and storytelling, to make each session enjoyable and effective.
If you're looking to improve your English speaking skills and gain confidence in your accent, I highly recommend Elizabeth. Her expertise and unique approach make her an exceptional tutor. You won't be disappointed!- Junga has a good command of phonemes and her English pronunciation is already clear and easy to understand. With British English being more of a stress timed language than syllable timed, however, it is important for her to practise dividing her utterances up into little phrases or groups of words that go together and to stress the most important words within each group (onset, tonic syllable etc).. For a British accent she also needs to avoid pronouncing the 'r' sound before a consonant or at the end of words, unless followed by a vowel initial word. We will also continue to practise the characteristics of rapid everyday speech, including use of schwa, especially in the little grammar words, linking, contracting, assimilation etc and generally work on bringing stress and colour into her utterances. I look forward very much to working together in the futureRéponse d'Elizabeth : 04/12/2024
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an outstanding and dedicated teacher. We are working together in improving my intonation and pronunciation. I deeply value her sincere commitment to my progress. I highly recommend her to anyone who would like to improve their English pronunciation.
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an exceptional and passionate teacher. I truly appreciate her genuine concern for my progress, which she makes her primary goal. Working with her continues to be a real pleasure and a great source of motivation for me.
- Vianney is a delightful person to teach, full of enthusiasm and with a good work ethic. He knows he has a very strong French accent (often much beloved by the British) but he is beginning to get the British sounds and his intonation, already good, is improving rapidly. He has a good ear but because he is already such a fluent speaker he will have to work extra hard to remember to use the new vowel sounds in place of his habitual ones. Meanwhile he should be careful not to speak too fastRéponse d'Elizabeth : 02/08/2024
Parfait ! Elizabeth, my English teacher, helped me significantly improve my accent with her personalised approach and understanding of phonetics. Her patient, enthusiastic, and empathetic personality created a supportive environment where I felt confident practising. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking to enhance their English pronunciation.
- Dragana already speaks good English in a pleasant, measured way that is easy to understand but sounds somewhat too rhotic for Standard British English. Besides eliminating 'r' before consonants and at the ends of words, we have been working quite hard on her 'r' sound itself which tends to be too strong and somewhat trilled. We have also practised a number of other phonemes, including the goat, lot and thought vowels, as well as working on chunking and sentence stress. Dragana has been tackling some really quite advanced texts with goodwill and gusto. I am quite impressed!Réponse d'Elizabeth : 08/03/2024
Parfait ! Elizabeth is experienced teacher with a strong passion for teaching and knowledge. She helped me by pointing out my issues in intonation and pronunciation and also offering practical advice on improvement. I enjoyed my lesson with her.
- Lovely fun person to teach, excellent English but her enunciation is not always quite clear enough. Has difficulty with certain sounds eg the trap vowel sounds too much like the cup vowel, and the distinction between the long and short i (sheep versus ship) is blurred. She also needs to reduce her rhoticity and not pronounce the 'r' before consonants or at the ends of words. I look forward to working with her further and on longer texts.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 07/02/2024
Parfait ! I was looking for a British English accent coach and tutor when I came across Elizabeth's profile. She is the best tutor I could have asked for! Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience, tips and exercises that will help you make progress in no time!
Initially, I shared some recordings of my voice with Elizabeth and she already knew what I needed to work on before we even had our first session. Following that, Elizabeth analysed every word I spoke during our sessions and she was able to provide me with extremely useful tips and exercises that have allowed me to make noticeable progress in just a matter of weeks. This will allow me to make great progress in my business as the CEO of a tutoring agency with clients in the UK! I greatly appreciate her support and guidance.
Elizabeth is the first tutor to pick up the issues with my 'trap vowel' and emphasised the need to stress, chunk and contract, which allowed me to correct myself while speaking British English. Thanks to Elizabeth, I have come to sound like a native British speaker in a very short amount of time! I highly recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking to make excellent progress in English quickly. Thank you so much Elizabeth! :)- Constantine is a very engaging student to work with and has an extraordinarily keen ear for sounds. His command of English is extremely good but his very fluency works a little against him in that he needs to practise very hard to alter certain sounds he is used to producing. The trap vowel, for instance, needs spread lips and a slight raising of the tongue . We are working toward getting his delivery a tad clearer and very slightly cutting speed, in oder for him to remember any changes. But yes, he is really good!Réponse d'Elizabeth : 05/12/2023
Parfait ! I feel extremely lucky to have found her. She is by far one of the best coaches you would ever meet. Elizabeth is a charming, humorous lady with a beautiful RP accent. She is highly experienced in what she teaches and her preparedness for each lesson together with its quality is impressive. She is quick to understand and identify student’s need and areas of improvement hence organize lessons in an engaging and effective manner. I would highly recommend her for those who are looking for a top-notch accent coach and English tutor (with an emphasis on British English). I very much look forward to learning from Elizabeth.
- Where to start? Miki's English fluency and vowel sounds are really impressive. We are concentrating for the moment on chunking and intonation and the general music of English - as well as a bit of potted grammar! I look forward to reading some newspaper articles and/or literary texts togetherRéponse d'Elizabeth : 12/11/2023
Parfait ! Elizabeth is a fantastic teacher. She notices all the subtle nuances in the speech, assessing possible ways to improve on the fly and proposing suited exercises. After just one lesson, some of my mistakes have become much clearer to me. I understand, improving the desired level will require a lot of patience and practice but I believe Elizabeth is the professional that could be trusted with this challenging task. I consider myself lucky to have found Elizabeth online and super thankful for taking me on even though the time is not very suitable for her.
- One of the really lovely things about Veronica is her enthusiasm: living at opposite sides of the world, as we do, she is getting up at crack of dawn for the lessons and seems so interested in everything she learns! And her accent is really very good indeed. We have been looking at chunking the stream of speech and putting in the nuclear stresses, and shall be consolidating certain sounds such as the thought vowel (the 'or' sound) and the pronunciation of 'tl' together, so that the air flows laterally out over the tongue - little tweaks like that , and then hopefully read some interesting texts and chat together to put everything we learn into context. I look forward to continuing...Réponse d'Elizabeth : 17/11/2023
Parfait ! The lesson was engaging and fruitful. Elizabeth helped me understand how my accent diverges from RP and explained various subtleties. Afterwards I received extra resources and a written summary of the lesson. Highly recommended!
- It was really nice meeting Stanislav and working on little tweaks to make his excellent command of English sound a little more British. He should watch out for v versus w, tongue position for the 'th' sound and be careful -for standard English as opposed to American -not to pronounce the 'r' sound at the end of words or before a consonant. His consonants are good but careful not to devoice them -at the ends of words especially. Going forward, we will work on the characteristics of rapid everyday speech, included linking, and will concentrate, too, on word stress, as well as phrasing (or chunking) and sentence stress. I look forward to working with StanislavRéponse d'Elizabeth : 26/08/2023
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an excellent teacher! She is very patience and tailors the classes according to my needs. I really enjoy working with Elizabeth and look forward to our next class.
- Merel speaks excellent English but standard British English is not rhotic like general American, so we are working on suppressing the 'r' sound at the end of words or before a consonant. Other phonemes also need working on, notably the 'th' sound, 'f' versus 'v' , thought and nurse vowels etc. We also worked on phrasing - dividing one's speech up into little chunks with appropriately stressed content words- and on use of schwa. As Merel is a very fluent speaker she will need to work hard to change ingrained habits but she has a very good ear. Once the basics have been mastered , we will move on to texts and articles, reading them out loud and expanding her vocabulary and mastery of syntax. I very much enjoyed working with her.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 01/08/2023
Parfait ! Elizabeth has a perfect accent, a vibrant personality and a wealth of English teaching experience. Her lessons are longer than other tutors and I found it to be the appropriate amount of time to get through things and not feel rushed. It is an absolute pleasure to be learning with her!
- Lora already has a very good command of English and is something of a perfectionist. However, the paradox with English is that in order to sound more 'English', one needs at times to sound less careful and distinct. It is important to destress and increase one's tempo with certain little word clusters and function words in order to throw more important words into relief - and that means making extensive use of the schwa sound, linking, contracting etc and also chunking and emphasising. Pronouncing the phonemes of English correctly is really important , but equally important is their delivery and remembering that the dictionary citation forms of words vary somewhat according to context. I look forward to working on the latter perhaps.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 18/08/2023
Parfait ! Elizabeth is very professional and helpful. She puts you at ease during the lesson making it easier to learn. Class is fun, with lots of material to learn from. Highly recommended
- Stefania is a very fluent speaker of English with little in her accent that betrays her Italian origins! However for the neutral accent that she is looking to achieve she needs to work quite hard on certain vowel sounds, notably the short i or kit vowel (live not leave). A lot of her English is learned by ear but she can still be misled by the infamous English spelling! So far we have looked at monophthongs, linking, use of schwa etc and I look forward to further sessions with such a quick learner.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 27/04/2023
Parfait ! Perfect! Elizabeth is a wonderful, friendly, patient and thoughtful speech therapist teacher, before she wants to go more in-depth in the subject she takes the time to understand what your objectives are and explains how/what/when and the practice of speaking so everyone can understand you if English is not your mother tongue. Most importantly, it's such a pleasure to work with Elizabeth because of how she combines a great personality, attention and care for her students with great professionalism. I seriously recommend her with no hesitation.
- Rajnish is a fluent English speaker - and his good intonation helps him be understood, despite the fact that a number of his phonemes need careful adjustment. So far we have briefly touched on aspirated p, th, r, v and w, s and sh, dark l, d and t. I look forward to practising these and other sounds with him and to helping him with the characteristics of rapid, everyday speech: linking, elision (libry instead of library), use of weak forms and schwa. Lots to study - chunking, word stress etc-but Rajnish has an excellent ear!Réponse d'Elizabeth : 07/02/2023
Parfait ! Elizabeth is amazing. She makes the lessons fun, is very directed and patient. Would highly recommend her for anybody looking to learn English
- Coming from Singapore, Ziting's speaks excellent English, as it is indeed her first language, but as she is working now in the UK, there are several adjustments to be made to sound more British, particularly dropping the /r/sound before consonants and at the end of words (unless followed by a word beginning with a vowel). Other sounds to concentrate on are the th sound and vowel sounds ei, ai and e. We will also work on chunking/phrasing and sentence stress and intonation, as well as the pervasive use of the schwa (uh) sound and linking in rapid everyday speech. Ziting appears to have an extremely good ear, which should make it much easier for her to modify her accent where helpful for British English speakersRéponse d'Elizabeth : 31/01/2023
Parfait ! Elizabeth is a wonderful tutor, friendly and charismatic. Her knowledge about the language is beyond the expectations I had. I am excited to continue my program with her.
- Having started as a child and having spent time in the States, Franklin is an excellent English speaker. As he now lives in London, however, we are seeking to change his accent to non-rhotic, omitting the 'r' sound before consonants and at the end of words unless followed by a word starting with a vowel. We are also working on use of schwa in function words, linking, contracting and other features of rapid everyday speech, together with chunking and sentence stress and intonation. His pronunciation of individual phonemes is highly accurate but he does need to make the long vowels long and to distinguish a little more clearly between the long and short i. He has an excellent ear.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 18/01/2023
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an excellent teacher!
My lessons have followed a structured and comprehensive course presented in a style that is easy to follow and understand.
Since beginning lessons, my understanding of English accents have improved despite having a relatively small amount of time to devote to study.
I am still having lessons with her and cannot recommend her teaching highly enough!- We have only had one lesson so far but Chiaki speaks English with remarkable fluency, especially since her native language is so very different. Having lived several years in the UK, her intonation is good. We will work on it further, using texts, dialogues and general conversation, paying especial attention to linking words together and other features of rapid speech. Initially, however, there needs to be some quite concentrated attention paid to phonemes, the goat vowel, for instance, and the fact that Standard British English is non - rhotic !Réponse d'Elizabeth : 08/10/2022
Parfait ! Brilliant pedagogy!
- We have only had one lesson but I have established that Cyril speaks excellent English with just a few pronunciation errors that are quite customary for someone with French as their first language. Cyril's accent is not strong and therefore needs tweaking rather than changing.... We shall first pay careful attention to all the phonemes, particularly the 'p' and 'th' sounds, the trap vowel, the cup vowel and the kit/fleece contrast, and then go on to increasing his use of schwa and practising locating the stress in thought units on a sentence by sentence basis. Intonation will be dealt with as we go along but on the whole that is already very good. I look forward to working further with this student.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 16/10/2022
Parfait ! Elizabeth is very patient and it's a great pleasure to have her as teacher. Her voice and accent are beautiful, similar to the British actress Joanna Lumley. She speaks a wonderful, traditional RP accent. However, she always points out that things are changing and people tend to speak a more modern version of RP nowadays. Elizabeth shows you the differences of pronunciation between modern and traditional approach, so you can choose either of them.
- Claire is a fluent English speaker and should make good progress accent wise because she is willing to spend time between lessons revising what we have covered. Time and again I have found this makes all the difference. There are a few phonemes that need a little more work, including the lot and thought vowels, but in the main we should concentrate on chunking and word stress and such features of rapid speech as linking and a wider use of schwa. A great pleasure to teach.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 05/10/2022
Parfait ! Expert tutor with deep experience and great company. Elizabeth was a joy to work with and I felt immediately at ease and highly motivated. A wonderful lesson!
- Being Australian, Katherine speaks perfect English but what she was seeking is to also acquire a British standard or RP accent. This she was already well on the way to doing, it's just a question of practising and being constantly mindful of, for example, her ei and ai diphthongs when speaking, avoiding any twang in her voice and letting her British English statements fall in pitch. She appears to have a very good ear for accent and would, I feel, be advised to acquire RP or SSB as a further accent rather than to change her original one...Réponse d'Elizabeth : 15/09/2022
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an excellent teacher who pays a lot of attention to detail and she is very keen on correcting any word which is incorrectly pronounced. She has a really good ear and gives you very useful recommendations to improve your pronunciation and how to put your tongue and mouth in the correct position. I am really happy with our sessions and I look forward to continuing working with Elizabeth on my pronunciation and mistakes
- Boris already speaks excellent English and has a very good ear. A few phonemes need a little bit of working on, principally the trap vowel /æ/ and consonant clusters, and he needs to consolidate certain features of fast connected speech, including linking, but the main focus of our lessons should be on chunking, sentence stress, pitch and tempo changes and the general melody of English. Boris is understandably in a hurry to improve these so that his English blends in more with that of native speakers but this will also require listening to and shadowing the speech of others on a regular basis : listen to short podcasts and audio files on repeat and then try and speaking out loud along with the speaker.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 11/09/2022
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an awesome tutor, gives a lot of resources, and individualises the teaching sessions to the specific needs I had, I enjoyed the lessons and they were quite helpful, I definitely recommend Elizabeth for anyone who would like to take it to the next level. Thanks Elizabeth!
- Ahmed has an excellent ear and is a highly fluent English speaker. One or two phonemes, mainly the thought vowel, could be worked on and lengthened a little and he could do with some sentence stress and general intonation practice in order to sound smoother and a little more dynamic - pitch and tempo changes in online lectures. Very quick mind.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 03/07/2022
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an amazing teacher! I've recently moved to London and she's been a great help as I've worked to navigate the nuances of language and accent here. Her explanations are clear and concise but, best of all, she is able to interject interesting anecdotes as we work that have enabled me to learn more, not just about the language, but about the culture here as well. I would recommend Elizabeth as a teacher without reservation and look forward to working with her in the future!
- Well Kathryn is already a native speaker of two versions of English and has an excellent ear, so all she needed was to perfect an already very convincing RP accent. So that her speech - and her reading- flows more smoothly, she should try and increase her use of contractions, use of linking (consonant to vowel between words - bu tit) and use of schwa in function words and unstressed syllables. Was a pleasure to teachRéponse d'Elizabeth : 28/05/2022
Parfait ! Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and reliable teacher. Elizabeth sent me additional materials and exercises to practice at home. Moreover, she recorded our lesson and sent it to me by email for me to revise. I had a specific goal to achieve, thus I was working on my own text. Elizabeth recorded her self explaining me highlighted words that I was struggling with, she did that in her own private time, outside of the lesson. I need to say that she is an expert, she loves what she is doing, she enjoying sharing her knowledge. I really recommend her!!! She is a MASTER! Excellent value for money!
- Monika had problems with certain vowel sounds, notably nurse and goat and trap and thought but was actually an extremely fluent speaker with good reading skills. This time she was primarily seeking help with the pronunciation of certain specialised words but if she decides to work on her intonation and sentence stress I would be happy to help.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 15/04/2022
Parfait ! "The no bs method", I would call it, as Elisabeth is full on from the first to the last minute of the session. Also, whenever I thought we were just "chatting", Elisabeth would give me some feedback. She's alert and resourceful, does not waste time and gives 100% to the lesson. It's been a hard session, but it's flown by.
- Annapaola has a good ear and is highly motivated but rather lacks confidence. She has a little trouble with certain phonemes, mainly the nurse vowel and the trap vowel, and with distinguishing between the short kit and long sheep vowels, but really her English is very fluent. Once she escapes the tyranny of the written word and becomes comfortable with phonetic spelling, she will find it much easier to pronounce certain words. What she does also need is more help with sentence stress and intonation.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 15/04/2022
Parfait ! Elizabeth is a great teacher! Very professional and pleasant
- Ksenia has an excellent command of English. We have worked on certain sounds that she has a little trouble with for example the goat vowel but really she mainly only needs help with sentence stress (chunking and placing the nuclear stress on the final new content word) and with intonation, in order to have a very good English sounding accent indeedRéponse d'Elizabeth : 15/04/2022
Parfait ! I really enjoyed my lesson with Elizabeth. She is very professional and was able to quickly identify areas where I need improvement. I'm sure with Elizabeth's help I will soon make a progress in reducing my accent.
- Very fluent already but good do with some help with suprasegmentalsRéponse d'Elizabeth : 01/07/2021
Parfait ! Her lesson was excellent. She was friendly and helpful.
She explained to me how to pronounce certain phonetics by showing me the tongue positions. now I feel more confident in speaking English. I will definitely keep having lessons from her.- Should be a lot more confident in her English which is really very fluent. Her Japanese accent is not too strong, so people should not have any particular difficulty understanding her. But this student could do with a lot of speaking practice and discussions to build up confidence. Also, to minimise the Japanese accent, she needs to practice phoneme production, especially the vowel sounds and the alveolar consonants. Her intonation is good.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 06/05/2021
Parfait ! Elizabeth is an excellent teacher, I wish I had found her years ago! She is very professional, caring and her lessons are both interactive and interesting. Elizabeth's pronunciation is perfect, easy to understand and it's my ultimate goal to speak like her. I cannot wait to have more lessons and improve my spoken English. I highly recommend booking a lesson with Elizabeth, you won't be disappointed - she is a charming and talented teacher.
Parfait ! Elizabeth has been helping my daughter to improve her accent which shows some trace that we lived abroad for several years during her early years. Elizabeth is highly experienced and was able to rapidly identify where my daughter needed to modify her speech. My daughter enjoys her lessons and I've already noticed an improvement with her accent. I'm very happy we chose Elizabeth and I would recommend her without hesitation.
- Robin's daughter already has a native command of English but speaks with a slightly non standard British accent. For RP which is non rhotic she needs to avoid making the 'r' sound before consonants and at the end of words, and to link words that end in a consonant to any following words that begin with a vowel. She also needs to make her sounds as in 'ship' a little shorter and sharper and produce a bit more stress on key words. Function words such as some, of, for, and and to need weakening and she should contract and destress some words or syllables a little more. She is concentrated, enthusiastic and appreciative, so it was a delightful first lessonRéponse d'Elizabeth : 22/02/2021
Parfait ! Elizabeth is a very patient, well experienced and knowledgable tutor. She spotted my weaknesses and I could get some work done from day one. I highly recommend her services.
- Marjorie speaks excellent English with a slight London accent but she does have trouble with certain vowel sounds and consonants needs to learn to link words together. She is really enthusiastic, though, and should do well.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 25/02/2021
Parfait ! Elizabeth is a superb voice coach and I would recommend her to anyone! In a single lesson she taught me a few tricks which straightened out some of my strange vowel sounds immediately. She is very friendly and pleasant to talk to, and she really goes the extra mile in making sure that her students have the tuition that they need, tailored to their own requirements.
First-rate tuition, and a friendly and conscientious teacher.- Peter is a native speaker. His pronunciation is excellent. If he wishes to speak with a more classical RP accent I would recommend consulting an actor's voice coach. Very nice student.Réponse d'Elizabeth : 03/02/2021
Parfait ! Elizabeth is a real professional in her field, she knows her job really well. During our lessons she analyses my speech and accent mistakes, creating a strategy to get rid of them. Also she is an easy going person, which helps with our scheduling. I do feel that I’m in good hands and I have great trust in Elizabeth’s vast experience. It’s a pleasure to be taught by such great teacher.
Ekaterina.- Very fluent speaker, joy to teach, tends to get a little too discouraged when phonemes corrected but as she is very fluent and therefore used to pronouncing in a certain way, it will take a bit of time - patience and practice!Réponse d'Elizabeth : 12/01/2021
Parfait ! Very dedicated tutor with a lot of energy and patience - lessons with Elizabeth are never boring!
- Very fluent, needs help with certain phonemes eg mouth and price vowel and with sentence stressRéponse d'Elizabeth : 12/01/2021
Parfait ! Elizabeth is always extremely generous with her time. Whatever questions I have, whether hard or straightforward, she handles it intelligently and diligently. This positive attitude inspires me to engage with the lessons and improve my level much faster. She is polite, courteous, respectful and charming at all times and in all situations, without being obsequious. Elizabeth's teaching is eloquent, clear, persuasive, engaging, always captures others' interest, and fires listeners' imagination. She is comfortable in any situation, even when speaking unprepared and without notes.
Elizabeth's English has a flair for creative, original and impactful style. She encourages me to adapt my English style for the purpose. She also helps me to notice some of my frequent mistakes with grammar, spelling or style. Elizabeth has always succeeded in explaining ideas clearly. I also find Elizabeth easy to understand. Perhaps that's because she listens carefully to what her students are saying, understands, and then responds appropriately. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend her.- Excellent, highly motivated, good phoneme production but with occasional lapses when speaking fastRéponse d'Elizabeth : 12/01/2021
Parfait ! Elizabeth is a great tutor and I strongly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their pronunciation and accent in British English. She teaches modern RP which seems to be an optimal way to study British English. There are several things that I've appreciated the most in my classes with Elizabeth.
1. Methodology and preparation. Elizabeth is a professional, she uses diverse materials and techniques and helps you achieve progress quickly
2. Personal approach. Elizabeth listens to her students very carefully and understands the individual issues and goals
3. Context and objectivity. Elizabeth always explains why there might be several correct pronunciation options and when and where you are more likely to hear each of them
4. Finally and most importantly for me, empathy and kindness. Elizabeth is an amazingly kind and generous person and every class with her makes you feel happier and more confident.- Very fluent, certain vowel sounds need working on and speed of utterance needs reducing a little for greater clarityRéponse d'Elizabeth : 28/10/2020
Parfait ! Elizabeth has been tutoring me in accent reduction classes which take place weekly. The quality of her work and value received is beyond my expectations. She is a true professional with years of experience in teaching. After just four weeks of attending her online classes, I have learned things about the English language and my application (or misapplication) of it that I didn't learn in fifteen years of using it.I recommend everyone to try and see for themselves. Elizabeth's classes are one of the best investments in self-development I have made in years.I am a self-employed career coach and management consultant. Lately, I recognised the need to improve my English skills to tackle clients at the executive level. Elizabeth's classes helped with it in no time and I am glad I came across her on the site. She is a native English speaker and language teacher who knows her stuff.

Natasha GElizabeth is an amazing teacher!
Such a cheerful and lovely lady. Elizabeth goes the extra mile to help me achieve my goal.
Elizabeth is super clear and she recognised my accent struggles instantly. She has endless patience when I struggle to pronounce something and she knows different tricks to make my speech sound clearer. She has a lot of material to bring to class and goes above and beyond to assist with those tricky sounds.

Ekaterina.I met Elizabeth when I arrived in London in 2017 and she has been my English teacher since then. She is an excellent teacher and a person who can really improve your skills. She helped me with the IELTS exam preparation.
She is a patient teacher who knows many teaching techniques to adapt to individuals.
I strongly recommend Elizabeth because she can really make the difference in your English learning journey.I have been attending Elizabeth’s lessons for a few years now and I can’t say enough how much I truly recommend her to anyone who needs any sort of help with their English.
Elizabeth is incredible, she always have so many new contents and visual materials to guide her lessons, so every lesson is always different. She never gets tired to constantly correct you while you speak, whether your phrase is not properly constructed or your words are not correctly pronounced. It is a constant learning from her, no matter how good you think your English might be.
During the latest years I have focused on learning received pronunciation that has helped me enormously in smoothing my Italian accent but also in boosting my confidence in public speaking. It’s hard to get rid of some long time pronunciation mistakes, but thanks to Elizabeth I became aware of so many of these and I now always know how to promptly correct my pronunciation while speaking to make myself understood.
Thanks Elizabeth for your help, not to say for the lovely friendship that is born during these past years! :)Elizabeth is a wonderful teacher! She not just helped me reduce my Hungarian accent with fun exercises but I also learnt lots of idioms and slangs so now I can understand my British colleges better. As a Software Developer communication was always my week point but thanks to the lessons now I talk with more confidence. So I can wholeheartedly recommend Elizabeth if you want to grow as a professional and need a kind and patient teacher.

Je ne compte pas mes heures et passe beaucoup de temps dans mes préparations pour pouvoir envoyer du matériel pédagogique personnalisé aux besoins de chacun. Idéalement, chaque session que je propose dure une heure et demie et coûte 45 £, payable après la séance. Ce tarif me semble le meilleur rapport qualité / prix, sans exiger une trop longue durée de concentration de la part de l’apprenant.
