I've known Eric for over 25 years; he's my brother in law. Eric is a passionate person who puts everything he's got in a project, whatever the project. He likes to understand the world surrounding him and thus, will not stop learning until he is satisfied with answers and explanations, the nature / matter of things. To me, that's a great quality as he explains clearly why this, why that, and makes things easier to understand. He transmits his passion naturally.
Eric is a positive person with quite a sense of humor and creativity.

Eric Gudenkauf is an energetic and understanding person, with very good teaching skills and above all, he loves what he does which makes him the perfect teacher. His demanding nature always pushes him to train him self often and with happiness. This can assure you a whole learning process in a joyous and relaxed atmosphere : you’ll definitely not be lacking of humour. He’ll do his best to give you original classes and you can trust me, as I already saw him working as a teacher for 15 years of life. As far as food is concerned, I discovered and cooked various and tasty dishes with Eric since my very young age so I can only advise you my father as a teacher in general.

I'm the president of a Summer School (Kamp Etreketiek Ar Vrezhonegerion, KEAV) which offers a complete tuition in Breton (an immersive course). Every year, since 1948, KEAV) organizes among other activities, a two weeks course. Eric has been one of the teachers we had in our team. We appreciated his knowledge of the Breton language and his professionalism of course, (he is a teacher of great experience) but also his capacity of establishing a good contact with us and with his students. I fully recommend him to you and hope to see him back with us before long.

Eric has been my language teacher for several years, and the first thing coming back to my mind thinking about the time spent with him are his smile and positive mindset. To know the personal and professional career of ERIC for decades, I summarize. He has a daily thirst for discovering and learning. Ease for languages, open-minded because of his many travels and his interest in everything that is cultural. He likes to transmit, interest and motivate his students. Has always been loved by them. Eric is a colleague filmmaker with a sharp eye for lighting and a passion for words and tasty food. He is a skilled writer and an eloquent speaker of several languages, amongst which French and Breton. Working with Eric is inspiring, he has a broad view, a structured approach and is a quick learner. His improvised dinners are memorable. I have no doubt you will enjoy his cooking lessons and his company.

As a breton language native speaker and tutor I was really impressed by Eric Gudenkauf's ability to learn the celtic language of Brittany which he speaks very well in its standart form as well as with a local accent (South East). He rapidly got chosen by the National Education to be a teacher and he uses the breton language as a professional tool to make films (documentaries) ordered by the Breton Channel (F3 Bretagne).
As a french teacher or tutor he would be great because

- he took advantage of the 6 month intensive breton language course for adults he spent in Stumdi (I was one of his tutors) to observe our pedagogy
- he's a very positive and involved person
- he's a native french speaker

Eric is a skilled and reliable teacher who obviously loves his job. His dynamism, patience, good mood, and his passion for the languages, (he speaks French, Breton, English and he is learning Welsh, Russian and Farsi) make his lessons very pleasant. Highly recommended.
