Bonjour, my name is Marilyne !
What to expect if you learn French with me? Fun, engaging and communicative lessons, where speaking and understanding real-life French is the priority. I love using colourful “help cards” for vocabulary and grammar — resources I design myself — and I create personalised programs adapted to your level, goals and interests.
I started teaching French in 2021 when I moved to Australia, and for 4 years I taught English-speaking beginners with great pleasure. After this enriching experience abroad, I have decided to return to France recently.
I’m passionate about finding innovative ways to help you memorise vocabulary, understand conjugation, and feel more confident using French in daily life.

My teaching method is designed for absolute beginners to intermediate learners. I prepare all my material myself — theory sheets, quizzes, exercises, vocabulary cards and games — gathering resources from books and online sources, then reorganising them in a way that is clear, logical and easy to understand. Each lesson is personalised to match the student’s needs, interests and learning style, and I love to diversify my approach by using French books, films and games. I can also lend these resources if students want extra practice at home.
A typical lesson (1h or 1h30) might start with a quick recap of previous content (around 15 minutes), followed by a theory point (pronunciation, present tense, grammar, etc.), often introduced through a game (30 to 45 minutes), and then a short reading exercise to practise pronunciation (about 15 minutes). Of course, this structure is flexible: no two lessons are identical, because I always adapt to what works best for each student.
My goal is simple: make French learning approachable, practical… and FUN!
