À propos de Lauren
I am actually first and foremost a songwriter. This is my favorite thing to do. I went to school for filmmaking and was a freelancer in this field for over 10 years. Before I moved to Paris, I was living in New York where I was performing my original songs. At some point, I had the inspiration to move to Paris, and so ... voila : ) My experience as a teacher has been in teaching music and film to kids between the ages of 9-17. Both my mother and sister are Montessori school teachers so I grew up with teachers and find it to be an enjoyable and natural part of my personality. I love to teach anything that I know and people want to learn.

My primary intention will be to teach you English in a way that will best work for you and your specific desires and desired learning methods. Because I am learning French right now, I understand that learning a new language comes with an abundance of challenges. But I have discovered that the most effective way for me to learn French is that the aspect of the language I am inspired to learn must always be relevant and it must continue to ignite my curiosity. One question must lead to another like a scavenger hunt or a detective unveiling the mysteries of the language. If it becomes a matter of trying to learn too many technical aspects of the language and then trying to fit it all in my brain, it can get exhausting really quick and I find it much harder to retain and remember the information and I end up not being able to actually use the information in real life. We remember better the answers to questions that we are asking. In my lessons, we will have relevant conversations on topics you want to be able to talk about. My lessons will be sculpted by your personal needs and desires. I intend to foster confidence and to keep it interesting so your curiosity and desire for speaking English never get dull.
