I am a qualified University teacher with twenty years of experience in higher education teaching in five countries, both in English and in French (UK, US, France, Italy, Lebanon).
I also publish journal articles and books on the history of ancient and early modern philosophy, political philosophy and history of political thought.

Teaching is always an interactive process which becomes most effective and enjoyable when you, as a student, engage actively with the subject. My methodology is based on four axes:
Uncompromising quality: My commitment has always been to provide students with first-class skills, methodologies and historical understanding required for analysing and assessing key texts and topics in philosophy.
Experience-based learning: Far from giving information about a certain topic, I aim to give you the tools to interrogate your assumptions about philosophy using historical and cultural information and make the most out of your learning experience.
Personal approach: I believe that students should respect the philosophical text, but they must also learn not to be frightened by it. In this way, you can be comfortable engaging in frank and open dialogue with the text and its author.
Dynamic engagement: My students typically comment on my enthusiasm, preparation, and knowledge, as well as on my ability to raise questions and stimulate their interests to go well beyond disciplinary boundaries.
