À propos d'Aimee
In the past six years I have worked with several different institutions that have afforded me a diverse array of students. For four years worked as a part time teacher at child development center in Portland, Oregon where we used methodology based on the philosophy of Jean Piaget with regards to the early process of learning. This allowed for students to be involved in shaping the curriculum and creating their own learning environment.
For two years I worked in a small village school in the Gambia where I focused on early childhood literacy. This involved teaching English as a second language to classes as large as 25 and small as 4 students from ages 5- 15.
Currently I am an assistant teacher through the Teaching English in France Program in a suburb of Paris where I work with classes CP (7 years) to CM2 (11 years) for 12 hours a week. We focus on speaking and listening to English skills.

Using student centered methods means that I would build the curriculum based on the students interest and progress. I believe that students learn best in interactive, realistic and creative situations. This method allows the student and teacher to actively engage in the learning process for maximum gain.
