À propos de Man
I write Python every day. I am a research intern at the De Vinci Research Center, where I work on database systems and machine learning, and I am finishing an M.Eng in Data and Artificial Intelligence at ESILV in Paris La Défense. A paper of mine is under review at an international conference this year. Most of that work happens in Python, so what I teach is the language as it actually gets used rather than the version that lives in textbooks.
I teach in English. If you are studying or working in France and the code is not the problem but the French explanation is, that gap disappears here.
I started where most of my students start, which is with no idea what any of it meant. I remember which parts were genuinely confusing and which parts only looked confusing because someone explained them badly, and that turns out to matter more than knowing the material. Beginners rarely fail because Python is hard. They fail because they were handed a wall of syntax with no reason to care about any of it yet.
I work with complete beginners, university students stuck on a module, and professionals moving into data roles. Whichever you are, tell me what you are actually trying to do with Python and we will build the lessons around that.

Who these lessons are for
Complete beginners with no coding background, university students taking a programming or data module, and working professionals moving into data roles who need Python for the job rather than for a certificate. I also help IB Computer Science students and anyone doing the Python side of an IB Maths AI internal assessment. All teaching is in English, so if you are studying in France and the language is the obstacle rather than the code, this will work for you.
How I teach
You write the code, I do not. Watching someone else's working code teaches almost nothing, which is why so many people finish a course and still cannot start a blank file. So I set the problem, you attempt it, and I step in when something breaks. Debugging together is where most of the actual learning happens, and it is also where beginners usually give up when working alone.
I keep theory minimal until you have hit the problem it solves. Nobody understands why functions matter until they have copied and pasted the same block four times. I let you hit that wall first, then explain, because it sticks that way and does not stick the other way round.
How a session runs
Sixty or ninety minutes with screens shared. We start by reviewing whatever you built since last time and fixing what broke. Then one new concept, introduced through a small practical task rather than a lecture. You finish the session with working code on your own machine and something to build before we meet again, sized so it takes twenty minutes rather than an evening.
Typical ground over the first months: syntax and data structures, functions, loops and conditionals, working with files, handling errors, then pandas and NumPy if you are heading towards data work. If you have a concrete target such as a university project, a technical assessment, or a task at work, we drop the generic path and build the sessions around that instead.
What I bring
I am completing an engineering master's in data and artificial intelligence and work as a research intern in a lab, where I write Python every day. So I teach the language the way it is actually used, including the messy parts that tutorials skip, and I can tell you which habits matter later and which do not. I am also used to explaining technical ideas to people meeting them for the first time, which is a different skill from knowing the material.
Lessons are online, which suits programming well since screen sharing beats sitting side by side. In person possible around Paris and La Défense. First lesson is free so we can check the fit before you commit.
