My name is Clara Isabel Hernando Susín. I was born in Madrid, Spain, and my accent is Castilian. I am a native and qualified teacher of Spanish as a foreign language by International University of La Rioja and an official examiner of the Spanish language at Instituto Cervantes. I am passionate about my mother tongue and about teaching it!

Although my educational style is based on the communicative approach, I do not rule out the timely use of other methods such as grammar or oral audio method, Asher's total physical response method, Krashen & Terrell's natural method, etc. Every single methodology or resource is welcome because they are a way to achieve an educational purpose. I can establish the following foundations on which I base my teaching:
- Students must actively participate in their learning.
- Learning is a physiological activity that involves the whole body.
- Students and teachers need feedback from the educational process in order to improve it.
- Students need structure and repetition to learn a new language.
- Methodologies, tools, resources ... for our students.
