I am an American living in the Paris area with experience teaching preschool through college-age students. As a student of languages myself, with a degree in French and coursework in teaching foreign languages, I understand how rewarding it can be to learn a foreign language, and take this into account when teaching.
I lead my classes with as much English spoken as possible, recognizing that students are able to understand much more than they may be able to produce in a foreign language at first. Additionally, I incorporate many "first-source" materials, (material made for native speakers from the US or the UK), as well as material I create for my students specific needs.
