À propos de Daniil

I am a political science researcher and university lecturer specialising in political communication, digital politics, media studies, online deliberation, and citizen–state interaction. I am currently a researcher and lecturer at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne where I teach social sciences in English and conduct research at the intersection of political science, communication and digital media.

I hold 2 PhDs in Political Science and have extensive experience in academic research and teaching. My doctoral research has involved the study of political communication, digital interaction and citizen–state relations, combining theoretical approaches from political science, deliberative democracy, media studies and digital communication with empirical analysis.

I have participated in more than 25 international academic conferences (ICEGOV, ECC, EGOV, DGO, DTGS, etc.) and presented my research to international audiences in the fields of communication, media and political science. I have also undertaken academic and research activities in international environments, including France, Denmark and Germany, and regularly collaborate with researchers from different countries and academic traditions.

As a lecturer, I teach social sciences in English and have experience working with both French and international students. My teaching approach combines theoretical knowledge with practical examples, critical analysis and active discussion. I am particularly interested in helping students develop the ability to analyse political and social phenomena independently, construct well-supported arguments, engage with academic literature and communicate their ideas clearly in English.

My experience as a non-native English speaker who developed his academic career in an international research environment also informs my teaching. Having written academic research in English, presented at international conferences and worked with English-speaking scholars, I understand the linguistic and academic challenges faced by students who need to use English for university studies, research, presentations and international academic communication.

My teaching and research combine 3 complementary areas of expertise: political science, communication and media studies, and academic English. This interdisciplinary perspective allows me to support students not only in understanding complex academic and political concepts, but also in developing the language, analytical and communication skills required to participate confidently in an international academic environment.
