À propos de Christine

Hello! I'm Christine, a French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teacher with over 20 years of experience in France and the Netherlands.

Throughout my career, I've taught students, expatriates, professionals and adults from many different countries and backgrounds.

Working internationally has given me a deep understanding of what it means to learn another language, adapt to a different culture and sometimes struggle to find the right words.

What I enjoy most about teaching is discovering how each person learns. Some students are naturally confident, others need more time and encouragement. Some love grammar, while others would happily avoid it altogether!

I believe that good teaching requires experience, curiosity, patience and a sense of humour. I take my students' progress seriously, but that doesn't mean lessons have to be serious all the time.

For me, teaching French is about much more than passing on knowledge. It's about helping people discover what they are capable of expressing in another language.

I'd be delighted to help you discover French — or rediscover it from a fresh perspective!

Whether you're a complete beginner, returning to French after a long break or looking to improve your fluency, my lessons are designed around your needs, your level and your goals.

What can we work on together?

- Everyday French: feel more comfortable in conversations, understand native speakers and handle real-life situations.
- French for work: develop the language skills you need to communicate in professional situations.
- Grammar and vocabulary: understand how French works and learn to use it naturally, rather than simply memorising rules.
- Speaking and pronunciation: build confidence, improve your fluency and learn to express your ideas more clearly.
- French culture: explore the language through authentic materials and discover how French is really used.

How do my lessons work?

We start by discussing your experience with French, what you find difficult and what you'd like to achieve.

From there, I adapt the activities and materials to your needs. Depending on your level and objectives, lessons may include conversations, listening activities, reading, practical exercises and focused grammar work.

I favour an interactive approach: you'll have plenty of opportunities to use French, ask questions and learn from your mistakes.

I also believe that understanding *why* something works is often more useful than simply being told what's right or wrong.

My approach combines clear structure with flexibility, so that every lesson has a purpose while leaving room for your questions and interests.

You don't need to speak perfect French to start speaking French. That's what we're here to work on!
