Hi, I’m Young-Sook, a certified Korean language teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience.
I taught Korean to international learners at King Sejong Institute in Brussels and to expatriates living in Korea. I specialize in helping students build confidence and communicate naturally in real-life situations.
My lessons focus not only on grammar and vocabulary, but also on how Korean is actually used in daily life and professional settings. I include cultural and historical background so that you can truly understand the language — not just memorize it.
In my classes, you won’t just study from a textbook. We can explore Korean through K-pop, K-dramas, and current trends, learning popular expressions, idioms, and modern slang that Koreans really use today. I also introduce practical phrases and real-life jargon so your Korean sounds natural and up-to-date.
With academic backgrounds in English Language and Literature (Korea) and Broadcast Journalism (UK), I am trained to explain clearly and structure lessons in a logical and engaging way. I understand the challenges of learning a new language and create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
For professionals, I also offer Business Korean based on my experience in corporate and leadership roles in the commercial real estate sector. If you need Korean for meetings, emails, presentations, negotiations, or working with Korean clients and colleagues, I can guide you with practical and real-world insight.
I teach students of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced learners — and tailor each lesson to your goals, interests, and learning pace.
