À propos de Charis
I have a First Class Honors degree in History of Art and French from University College London.
Perfectly bilingual, having translated articles and one novel, and having given English lessons or conversation to a wide range of pupils, I have learnt that learning a language involves more than textbooks and academic classes.
My tuition is adapted to each person according to their abilities and interests. The school curriculum can be enriched by art and literature and going beyond the set texts.
Learning a new language is learning a new culture.

I believe in the power of books, culture and good journalism to educate and enlighten. Whether it be with illustrated children books or intricate complex works from Shakespeare to James Joyce, you can learn so much more by the transformative possibilities of literature.
I adapt to each person's abilities and find creative and enjoyable ways to accompany them personally.
Painting and drawing with the young, avant-garde theatre or poetry, postmodern novels for the intellectually curious, feminist fiction to empower women but also philosophical treatises and gender studies.
From reading and being able to discuss the great articles in The New Yorker, in the scientific journals like Nature and the New Scientist or singing nursery rhymes to children, each lesson is specific and learning becomes enjoyable and enriching.
