My name is Eda Nisan. I am an experienced chemistry educator with fourteen years of international teaching experience, specializing in IB Chemistry (SL/HL) and AP Chemistry. I have been teaching since 2011 and have worked with students from diverse academic backgrounds, helping them improve their understanding, strengthen their confidence, and achieve excellent exam results. I hold a degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and I teach in native-level English. My background combines strong scientific training with many years of professional teaching practice, allowing me to explain complex concepts in a clear, structured, and accessible way. I prioritize deep conceptual understanding, problem-solving ability, and analytical thinking rather than memorization. I have supported students preparing for major international exams, university entrance requirements, and demanding school programs. Many of my students have gone on to study science, engineering, medicine, and related fields. I currently teach in Strasbourg (and occasionally in Paris), and I am also available for online lessons. I greatly value a supportive, motivating teaching environment and enjoy helping students discover that chemistry can be logical, manageable, and even enjoyable when taught well. My name is Eda Nisan. I am an experienced chemistry educator with 14 years of professional teaching experience, specializing in IB Chemistry (SL/HL) and AP Chemistry. I hold a degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and I teach in native-level English. My lessons are clear, structured, and adapted to each student’s needs, whether the goal is improving grades, building confidence, preparing for exams, or developing analytical thinking. I offer: • IB Chemistry (SL & HL) • AP Chemistry • General high school chemistry support • Exam preparation, past paper practice, study strategies • Concept clarification, problem-solving skills, and lab-related guidance My teaching style is supportive, rigorous, and student-focused. I prioritize deep understanding rather than memorization, helping students truly grasp concepts such as stoichiometry, kinetics, thermodynamics, bonding, acids and bases, equilibrium, electrochemistry, and organic chemistry. I teach in person in Strasbourg, preferably in a quiet café, library, or university space. Online lessons are also possible. Parfait ! Eda est très sympa, et surtout flexible. Elle a su s’adapter à mon emploi du temps très serré. Elle m’a permis de revoir les bases et le tout en anglais alors que je suis en cursus anglophone. Je la recommande.
- Le cours avec Sylvie s’est très bien passé. Elle est attentive, motivée et très agréable. Elle comprend rapidement les explications et n’hésite pas à poser des questions lorsqu’elle en a besoin.
