À propos d'Astrid
My name is Astrid Reijnders, I am a Dutch cellist currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with Jeroen Reuling.
I started playing the cello when I was twelve years old, after having played the recorder for five years. I attended the ‘School for Young Talent’ at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and obtained my bachelors degree at Codarts in Rotterdam. Part of my bachelor programme was a course in pedagogy and methodology for cello teaching with Mariëlle Rijkaart.
What I enjoy most about being a musician is sharing the music with others. It doesn’t matter in which way, I enjoy performing for an audience, playing together with other musicians, or teaching!

The cello is an incredible instrument, and I immensely enjoy helping people getting better acquainted with it!
When you learn to play a musical instrument, there are many elements that contribute to your development. First of all, you will discover the technical and physical aspects of your instrument. Besides, you will learn to read notes in order to be able to translate what you see into something audible. Another aspect is developing your ears, finding out what the relationship is between what you are physically doing and what you hear. And last but absolutely not least, expressing yourself and enjoying your own playing.
This all may sound very serious, but there are ways to work on these things in a playful manner! The lessons are suitable for both complete beginners and advanced amateurs.

I had the pleasure to have Astrid as a Cello teacher in Rotterdam. It was the first introduction with playing the cello for me, she is a calm and easy going teacher. She gives you the freedom to explore and guides you all the way through. I would definitely recommend her.
Astrid is a very nice teacher! She helped me start on the cello and made sure (small) successes were guaranteed from the beginning. Totally recommend her for starters as well as advanced students!
