À propos de Pierre
I've been a musician since childhood, playing violin professionally as a child. After graduating with a business major, I decided at 21 years old that I wanted to sing and delve back into music. I formed a few garage bands and really had a talent for singing and songwriting. I then went back to university and auditioned for the vocal singing program and got accepted in both classical and non-classical singing. I chose the latter as I was already in multiple rock bands, also as a guitarist and pianist.
University was a great place to meet fellow musicians, but I realized that the vocal teachings were missing something. They felt outdated and focused only on endless vocalizing exercises on the piano. I decided to start researching and analyzing vocals and started teaching. Each student was unique and provided a fantastic collaboration to delve and understand the specifics of the technical challenges they faced while breathing and singing. I used every challenge or difficulty a student faced as an opportunity to do research and come back to them with a solution they could understand and apply right away. This is how I created my unique vocal program.
I started out teaching, composing and performing in Montreal and also Toronto. I've also lived in Switzerland in the past, 1 month in Geneva and 3 months in Thun! I then went on a solo backpacking trip around the world and taught and performed in person and online in various locations including USA, Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, Israel, Armenia, China, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea to name a few.
I now share my time between Taiwan and Canada, teaching online and in person. As an artist, I've always composed in English and French, and 3 years ago I also started composing songs in Mandarin.
I've had students and speakers from all walks of life, and my favorite part that always touches me is the connection and bond we forge, and how genuinely grateful they are, even years later, always thanking me for having not only helped them connect with their true voice, understanding themselves as a musical instrument they could master, but also how much it helped them as a person to become grounded and present through breathing and body awareness.

Vocals are about developing the right habits from the start (sometimes unlearning incorrect ones) and conditioning them so that they become 2nd nature.
Singing and speaking are very similar to ice skating: you need to be strong and flexible, but more importantly, graceful and free. Any tension blocks along your body, your breathing, your technique, your thoughts or feelings will directly affect your power, endurance, resonance, precision, fluidity, creativity, and enjoyment.
The program I've created will guide you step by step in building a strong and lasting foundation and core. The program is divided into 4 simple categories, and each category is practiced while adding new building blocks every lesson.

Singing
The building blocks are too numerous to write here. I'll add each new building block during your lessons while making sure that you are integrating them correctly. Each following lesson we also review them within our exercises to make small adjustments and fine-tune them.
We go neither too fast nor too slow, finding the exact speed for each student to allow the conditioning to become second nature so that you can sing without thinking about singing.
You can sing in any language you are inspired to sing and create in. I speak English, French, Mandarin Chinese, and Armenian fluently.
