À propos de Calvillo
Hello, my name is Ambar and I'm an American from California living in France in order to improve my French, go back to school, and learn about European culture. I graduated from San Francisco State University with honors with a degree in Writing/English and have 3 years of full time English teaching experience

My teaching method consists of ascertaining a students level and then systematically introducing them to the language overtime through different mediums, always in English. One week we might read an article and dictate the material for a lesson based more on oral comprehension, or listen to music with a printout of the lyrics with about half removed. Another lesson may be just having a conversation where I will suggest preferable vocabulary, and allow the student to practice forming sentences by themselves. For written practice, I assign homework and correct it with the student the following lesson. I have many different approaches and all are introduced based on the students needs, strengths and weaknesses. Most of all, I want the student to feel like they want to learn English and are inspired by it, because enthusiastic learning is much more long lasting than begrudging learning in my experience.
