À propos de Bame

Hello! I am so excited to welcome you to the world of technology! You can call me Miss Rhoda. I spend my days teaching in secondary schools and running fun summer tech bootcamps. There is nothing I love more than showing young minds how cool computers can be!

For me, learning about technology shouldn't feel like a boring lecture or a long list of definitions to memorize. It should feel like discovering a superpower!

What we will do together:

Solve Fun Puzzles: We will learn how computers think by breaking down complex topics into simple, exciting steps.

Create and Build: We will explore how to write basic code, think like designers, and become creators of technology, not just users.

Learn at Your Own Pace: We will use games, pictures, and real-life stories to make sure everything clicks easily.

Why you’ll love our lessons:
I know that starting something new can sometimes feel a bit tricky. In my class, there is no such thing as a "silly question," and making mistakes is actually just a normal part of building your brain! I bring lots of energy, patience, and fun to every lesson so you can feel completely confident and happy.

Whether you want to ace your school computer classes or take your very first steps into coding, I am here to guide you. Let’s make technology your favorite subject!

My Teaching Techniques & Methods
I design my lessons using principles from cognitive science to reduce "cognitive load"—meaning I break down intimidating Computer Science topics into highly digestible, bite-sized pieces. I also heavily incorporate storytelling and design-thinking into my classes. Instead of just lecturing about hardware or software, I use relatable, everyday scenarios and creative analogies to explain complex concepts like algorithms, data storage, and programming logic.

Typical Lesson Structure (60 Minutes)
My classes are highly interactive and structured to maximize memory retention:

The Hook (10 mins): We start by relating the day’s topic to something they already understand (e.g., how their favorite mobile game saves their progress).

Core Concept & Visualization (20 mins): I introduce the new material using visual aids, clear analogies, and simple demonstrations.

Guided Practice (20 mins): The student takes the reins. We do hands-on exercises, whether that is applying basic Python logic, solving a digital puzzle, or navigating an interface.

Active Recall (10 mins): We end the session with low-pressure recall questions to ensure the knowledge actually sticks long-term, rather than fading by the next day.

My Specific Strengths
My biggest asset is my ability to bridge the gap between traditional school curriculums and modern, practical tech skills. Having actively managed classrooms and co-organized youth tech bootcamps, I know exactly how to keep younger minds engaged without them feeling overwhelmed. I bring a warm, highly energetic, yet structured environment to every session, ensuring students feel completely safe to make mistakes and ask questions.

Who These Lessons Are Aimed At
These sessions are specifically tailored for Lower Secondary School students (Forms 1, 2, and 3).

Whether you are struggling to grasp basic computer literacy, need support keeping up with your school's ICT syllabus, or are a beginner showing an early interest in coding and tech creation, this is the perfect starting point. Absolutely no prior technical experience is required.
