Asking / Giving directions
L'objectif du jour:
1) Nommer les magasins et différents endroits d'une ville.
2) Demander son chemin.
3) Comprendre les indications qu'on vous donne / Indiquer le chemin à quelqu'un.
Exemple
- Hello! How can I go to the Plazza Hotel? Bonjour, quel est le chemin pour aller à l'hôtel Plazza?
- It's easy! Go straight on to the roundabout, turn right, and it's on your left. C'est facile ! Allez tout droit jusqu'au rond-point, et c'est sur votre gauche.
- Thank you. Merci
- You're welcome. De rien

the supermarket : le supermarché
the shoe shop : le magasin de chaussures
the grocer's : l'épicerie
the chemist's : la pharmacie
the shopping centre : le centre commercial

Demander son chemin
a) How can I go to... => Comment puis-je aller à...
b) Could you tell me the way to... => Pourriez-vous m'indiquer le chemin jusqu'à...
c) I'm looking for an ATM : Je cherche un distributeur automatique.
Exemple : How can I go to the stadium? Could you tell me the way to the cinema?
Indiquer le chemin
Quelques termes importants (cours anglais):
à pied
Allez : go
Allez tout droit : go straight on
Allez jusqu'au : go as far as
en voiture : remplacer « go » par « drive »
Prenez la 3e route à gauche : Take the third road on your left / Take the third left.
Tournez à droite/à gauche : Turn right/left
C'est sur votre droite/gauche : It's on your right/left
Traversez la rue : Cross the street
by foot or by car : à pied ou en voiture
