As a tutor, my goal is to make data analysis clear, practical, and tailored to each student’s needs. I combine my background as a university professor and international data analyst to offer lessons that are both structured and highly applicable to real-world scenarios. Teaching method and techniques I use a hands-on approach: we learn by doing. Each concept is reinforced with practical exercises using tools like Python, SQL, Power BI, or Excel, depending on the student’s goals. I focus on real case studies, data sets, and challenges that reflect what professionals actually face in the workplace. Typical lesson structure A typical lesson includes: A short review of previous content (if applicable) A clear explanation of the day’s topic A practical activity or problem-solving exercise Q&A and discussion to reinforce learning Optional take-home practice (if desired) What sets me apart What makes me different is that I’ve been on both sides: teaching at the University San Francisco de Quito (the top-ranked university in Ecuador), and working as a data analyst with companies in Latin America, Europe, and the U.S. This means I can explain things in a simple and structured way, while also helping students understand how to apply what they learn in the real world.
