À propos de Megan
I have worked at three different primary schools giving English lessons. I have given private lessons for 5 years, mainly to children between the ages of 3 and 13. All of my students have shown rapid improvement in English in a short span of time.
My greatest success story was a student of mine (12 years old) who went from failing and hating English to being one of the best students in his class after one year. I am not a miracle worker but I am a serious and kind teacher who takes the time to understand her students and can help them develop better study and learning habits that can be transferred to all subjects, not just English.
I hold two masters degrees, one in International Relations and the other in Strategic Negotiation. I like to give English lessons in my spare time because I love teaching and preparing lessons.

Hello!
I am a 27 year old American who has been living in France for the past 5 years. During this time, I have grown to love Paris and the people who live here! I also love sharing my language and culture with those who are interested in learning more and developing their own language skills.
For my private classes, I propose an immersive experience in which we speak the most English together as possible (only in English is preferred for the optimal learning environment). However, never fear, I am bilingual in French! I will use a variety of methods to help you or your child understand while exposing them to the most English as possible during our lessons. Oral comprehension is key to developing language skills and unfortunately, is often severely lacking in school English classes.
As a native speaker, you or your child will be exposed to an American accent. I come from the northwest region of the USA and have a neutral, "ordinary" American accent. (No Texan accent here ;) )
A little bit about me: Since arriving in France, I have worked at several primary schools teaching English. I have the most experience teaching children between the ages of 3 and 13 but have also taught high school and adult students. I will prepare a personalized curriculum that is adapted to the needs and age of the student after assessing his or her level and learning style.
Brief example of the types of curriculum I propose :
Younger learners (ages 3 to 8)
- For younger children, I propose learning based mainly in games and songs.
CM2/Collège/Lycée
- Games, videos (oral comprehension)
- Workbooks
- Reinforcement of their lessons from school / homework help
- Read short stories, write short stories
- Vocabulary reinforcement
- Preparing discussions
- Oral comprehension
I propose classes in the evenings (after 6:30 pm) and on the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays all day) at your home. Don't hésitate to contact me (in French or in English, I speak both!)
