Having gone through the high school experience myself only about a couple of years ago, I realize that it can be a very difficult and daunting time for students. I assure you that I will try my best to understand any problems my students are facing in their academics, and try my best to help them out in any way I can. I believe that each and every individual student learns in a different way. If you feel like it’s difficult to understand your teachers in class, that might just be because your brain best learns information in a different manner and that’s totally fine! I am willing to explore different methods of learning with my students and stick with only what works best for them.

I like to ask my students to tell me about the topics they would like to focus on the most before the lesson, so that I can prepare my lesson plan according to that. In the lesson, I believe that it’s best to start by asking the student to “brain dump” any prior knowledge they have about the topic, so that I can further build on that and clear up any misconceptions they have with my teaching. I think that using a lot of graphics, both from the internet and my own drawings, is a very effective method to teach a content heavy subject like Biology. Before medical school, I completed my A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, so I can teach Biology up to the high school/sixth form level
