-Success in finding practical ways of engaging students by bringing history alive in the classroom. This was achieved through role play, fancy dress and utilising ICT: Filming, voice recording and animation.
« A willingness to take risks with lessons so as ascertain what works best for pupils. For example, producing mini movies to explain the various reactions of allies to the treaty of Versailles and cooking days to teach rationing in WW2. Allowing students to be mini experts and teach the class by selecting a piece of historical evidence in a cathedral and producing a project about its origin and significance.
« Knowledge of generating the ideal learning environment that ensures that all pupils can access the material. This is achieved by using Kegan techniques: rally robin, timed pair share and Kegan seating arrangements.

My class explored Bangladesh, looking at its history, geography and culture. Pupils later make and eat Bengali food and wear the national dress.
