English/ Русский язык (Russe)
Hi everybody !
Je m'appelle Kirill . Je suis étudiant en échange à Sciences Po. Last year I studied at UCL, London. I'm originally from Moscow et oui, je parle français!
Let me first tell you about my English courses.
I've taught General English, Business English and American studies (American politics, culture etc) for 4 years now.
I explain grammar, different expressions, and new words in English, not in French. I think it is very important if your level of English is intermediate or upper-intermediate. I have a lot of books, audio and video recourses such as ‘face to face' text book so I do not think you will have to buy additional materials.
General and Business English:
What are you gonna do? First, you'll have to work hard. I'll give you a lot of homework. You'll be required to learn a lot of new words every week and use them in dialogs and sentences with me. We'll do some tests to make sure you've learnt them. You'll learn idioms, common expressions and some slang. We'll have conversations on different issues. What I promise is that it is not gonna be boring. We' ll watch American and British films, listen to BBC and analyse news and you'll speak like the Brits!
I've also prepared my Russian students for the Russian state exam (it's like your BAC). All of them passed it very well and they've been accepted at university.
We'll basically concentrate on American politics, culture and their educational system. We'll use articles from BBC and CNN. You'll get a basic understanding of the American political system. I've a got an excellent book on America studies.
je vais utiliser la même méthode pour enseigner le Russe. si vous avez commencé a apprendre le Russe je vous expliquerai les regles en fraçais.
N'hésitez pas à me poser des questions.
