I am an artist and illustrator specialising in human biology. I hold a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and I am a former Oxford University researcher. I am also a member of Oxford Printmakers and founder of the Life Drawing Montmartre initiative. I run life drawing workshops and human anatomy classes.
An understanding of human form is essential for artists, illustrators and animators to be able to represent the human body accurately and anatomically. During the course you will:
-explore the varied shapes of the human body and acquire a basic knowledge of human anatomy
-understand how the musculoskeletal system and other body systems influence the human figure
-learn to produce anatomically correct drawings of the human body
Cours de dessin a partir de 5 Euros pour un group de 4 à 10 personnes.
I have extensive teaching experience in both an academic setting and as a private tutor. I have gained valuable experience teaching and supervising undergraduate students at the University of Liverpool as well as the University of Oxford (tutorials, laboratory practicals, lecturing). I have also completed “Tutorial and Small Group Teaching” and “Lecturing and Large Class Teaching” courses organised by Oxford University. Since 2014 I have run figure drawing workshops and printmaking classes in Paris.
